About Wenyu Huang MD, PhD

Wenyu Huang, MD, PhD is an Assistant Professor, Division of Endocrinology, Metabolism and Molecular Medicine at Northwestern University, Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago, IL. Dr. Huang also serves as Director of Northwestern University’s Comprehensive Metabolic Core.

Dr. Huang received his medical degree at Beijing Medical University in China. He completed neurosurgery residencies at First Hospital of Beijing Medical University and Beijing Tiantan Hospital. Dr. Huang completed an internal medicine internship and residency, and Endocrinology Fellowship at Northwestern University where he received a PhD in Neuroscience. Throughout his academic career, Dr. Huang has received many awards, honors, and distinctions.

Dr. Huang is an active member of prestigious societies including The Endocrine Society, American Diabetes Association (ADA), and American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE). He is a reviewer for many journals, including Thyroid, Pituitary, Diabetes, Journal of Neuroscience, Chronobiology International, American Journal of Physiology-Endocrinology and Metabolism, and Journal of Biological Rhythm.

Furthermore, Dr. Huang mentors PhD, master degree and undergraduate students in biomedical research.
