About Elena Christofides MD, FACE

Dr. Elena Christofides is the chief executive officer of Endocrinology Associates, Inc., as well as Endocrinology Research Associates in Columbus, Ohio. She holds dual board certifications in endocrinology and internal medicine and several academic positions, including: Clinical Instructor and chair in the Department of Internal Medicine in the Division of Endocrinology at Mount Carmel Health Systems, Clinical Instructor in the Department of Internal Medicine and Family Practice at Ohio Health, Clinical Associate Professor, Core Group IV, Endocrinology at Ohio University College of Medicine, and Adjunct Assistant Professor at Ohio State University College of Medicine.

Dr. Christofides received her medical degree from the Ohio State University College of Medicine, and completed a residency at Mount Carmel Medical Center, both in Columbus. She advanced her training and experience in a two-year fellowship in the Section of Endocrinology and Metabolism at Louisiana State University Medical Center in New Orleans.

She is a medical reviewer for several professional journals including Clinical Medicine Insights: Reproductive Health, Clinical Medicine Insights: Endocrinology and Diabetes, Clinical Medicine Reviews in Women's Health, Clinical Medicine Reviews in Nutrition and Metabolic Insights, and Clinical Medicine Reviews in Reproductive Biology Insights.

Dr. Christofides is a Fellow and active member of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE), American Diabetes Association (ADA) and the Endocrine Society. She has held leadership positions in AACE's Ohio River Regional Chapter, ADA's Central Ohio Chapter, and the Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome Association.
