Lump on Parathyroid gland Normal bloodwork

From: jshebib - 2 years 31 weeks ago

I know they are unrelated but I have had hypothyroidism for 15 years (since I was 12 years old) and my levels are usually off every 2 years I need to have my meds increased. I'm on 125mcg once daily.
November of 2018 I requested to my doctor to send me for an ultrasound of my neck because I could feel a bit of a "clicking, lump in throat" feeling when I swallowed.
In February 2019 I had a my ultrasound on my neck and my doctor asked me to come in to speak about my results a week later. I was expecting to have a nodule on my thyroid gland or something but she said that I had a lump on my parathyroid gland.
So naturally we decided to test my PTH levels, and calcium levels. Both came back normal, and I even asked what the levels were just in case they were high normal and she wasn't telling me.
So now she has sent a referral to the ENT and said she would like to do another ultrasound in roughly 5-6 months. I guess my question is has anyone else ever had a parathyroid lump with normal blood work? Could this be something else? Just looking for peoples thoughts on my situation.
